Our commitments
We do not sell or rent your personal information or your work. We do not use advertising trackers, tracking cookies, marketing pixels, session recording or cross-app tracking. We do not build advertising profiles. We limit information to what is needed to provide the access or support you request and meet applicable legal obligations.
The current beta has no required account sign-in and no purchases. Pro access is granted separately to approved testers and authorized app reviewers. Access verification uses RevenueCat, distribution and testing use Google Play where applicable, and our support mailbox uses Gmail. Their processing is described below.
Your notebook stays on your device
Calculations run on your device. Measurements, layouts, projects, saved work and preferences are stored locally. The app does not automatically upload this notebook to Fieldcraft Digital, RevenueCat or Google Play.
You choose when and where to export, back up or share files. Notebook backups contain readable JSON and exported drawings may contain your measurements. Files you choose to share are handled by the destination app or service under its own terms. The app does not enable Android automatic cloud backup or automatic device transfer for its app data.
You can remove saved items using the app's controls. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling can remove local work. Export anything you want to keep first. Copies you saved elsewhere must be deleted separately. Revoking or ending Pro access does not remotely delete your notebook or exported files.
The minimum identifier for Pro access
The app creates a random customer ID for its installation, displayed as the Tester / support ID. This is not your email address, advertising ID, IMEI or Google account name. It links the installation to its access record in RevenueCat. It is a pseudonymous identifier, not a guarantee of anonymity. Clearing app storage or reinstalling may create a new ID.
When the app configures or refreshes access online, RevenueCat processes this ID, entitlement or grant status, relevant timestamps, and app, SDK, device and connection information needed to operate the service. This can include IP address, operating-system version and last-seen or access-check information. Restoring store purchases may involve Google Play purchase tokens and purchase history. RevenueCat stores access and transaction records and provides related service statistics. Your notebook is not included in these requests.
Optional automatic device-identifier collection and RevenueCat SDK diagnostics are disabled in this build. We do not add advertising attribution, custom marketing attributes or tracking of which calculators and project screens you use. We use RevenueCat to administer and verify access; we do not use these records for advertising or cross-app profiling.
Access requests use HTTPS. The app stores its offline access verification record in encrypted, authenticated storage backed by Android Keystore. Verified Pro access can continue offline for up to 72 hours, capped by the grant's expiry. An online check is required after restarting the phone. Network permission is needed for verification; free tools and local saved work remain available if access cannot be verified.
Reviewer access
Authorized app reviewers can enter a reusable code to unlock the same Pro tools and exports. The code is checked locally. An activation record is stored in encrypted device storage, separately from RevenueCat grants, so reviewer access can work offline and after restart without periodic renewal. The code is not sent to RevenueCat or included in connection reports or notebook backups. Normal app initialization may still contact RevenueCat as described above.
Choose “End reviewer access” in Settings → Access to remove the local activation. Clearing app storage or uninstalling also removes it, along with local work unless you first export a backup. Ending reviewer access does not delete saved projects. Connection reports may state whether reviewer access is active, but do not include the code.
Connection reports are your choice
The app keeps up to 20 recent connection events in memory for the current app process. Older events are replaced and this session history is lost when the process ends. Android may also retain local system or crash diagnostics under the device's own controls. The app does not automatically send these reports to Fieldcraft Digital.
A connection report contains app and Android versions, Network permission status, customer IDs, access results and recent errors. It does not include your notebook, payment-card details or the full public SDK key. You can review and remove details before copying it, saving a text file or opening an email draft with the subject “Customer error report”. Sending the draft is your choice.
If you email a report, we receive the text, your sender address and anything else you include. Your email provider and our Gmail provider process that message. We use it to investigate the issue and reply. Avoid including confidential site or customer information. Saved report files remain wherever you put them until you delete them.
Contacting us and joining a test
If you contact Fieldcraft Digital, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request, provide support or arrange tester access. We do not add you to marketing lists.
Google Play testing uses the Google-account email you provide for the tester list. We use that address to manage eligibility for the test. Pro grants use your Tester / support ID; sending it to support can associate that ID with your correspondence. Joining a beta does not start a paid subscription.
The website and its hosting
Our website uses local assets and system fonts. We add no analytics scripts, tracking cookies, advertising, external font requests or social-media embeds. The contact form prepares a draft in your email app; it does not submit your message to a website database.
Mynymbox hosts fieldcraft-digital.com. A website request necessarily exposes connection information to the hosting infrastructure. The host or web server may process or log IP addresses, request times, requested URLs and browser information for delivery and operation. We have not verified the server's logging configuration or the provider's retention periods, so we cannot promise that hosting logs are absent. We do not use this information to track visitors or for advertising.
Service providers and disclosure
We use RevenueCat for access verification, Google Play for distribution, testing and relevant store functions, Gmail for correspondence, and Mynymbox for website hosting. They receive the information necessary for those functions. Other recipients receive data when you choose to export or share it. We do not sell this information or authorize its use for our advertising.
Providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live and maintain their own operational records, backups or records required by law. We do not control every provider's retention settings. RevenueCat's processing of app-user data is governed by its service agreement and data-processing terms. Read RevenueCat's app-data guidance, its Data Processing Addendum, and Google's privacy policy for additional information.
If disclosure is legally required, we limit it to the information we hold and are required to provide. We do not collect additional information about your work simply to keep a record of it.
Retention and deletion
Our retention rule is to keep only the records needed for an active access grant, an open support request or ongoing beta participation, plus records that applicable law requires. We do not keep a separate server-side history of your calculations, layouts or project activity.
- Local notebook and exported files: kept under your control until you delete them. We cannot retrieve or delete copies on your device remotely.
- Connection-event history: limited to the current app process as described above. A report you save or email becomes a separate copy.
- Support emails and received reports: our policy is to delete these when the request is resolved and the information is no longer needed to complete your request, unless retention is legally required. This is a manual support process, not an automatic expiry feature.
- Tester contact and access records: retained while needed for participation and access. When participation ends, or you request deletion, we remove our tester-list entries and correspondence that are no longer needed and delete the associated RevenueCat customer record through the controls available to us, subject to legal requirements. Deleting an access record can end Pro access.
- Provider records: deletion from a dashboard or mailbox may not immediately erase provider backups or legally retained records. Their exact retention periods have not been confirmed. We do not promise immediate deletion from every provider system.
To request access to, correction of or deletion of information held by Fieldcraft Digital, email fieldcraft.digital@gmail.com. Include only the email address you used to contact us and, if the request concerns Pro access, your Tester / support ID. Do not send a password, payment-card number, government ID or notebook backup. We may ask for limited confirmation to locate the correct record and protect it from an unauthorized request.
We will explain any information we must retain and the reason. Removing your record does not prevent the installed app from contacting RevenueCat again while network access is allowed; a later connection can recreate an access-service record. Clearing local app data alone does not delete remote records.
Changes and contact
This policy covers the current Android beta and website. We will update it before introducing paid subscriptions, new account features or materially different data handling, and provide any notice or choices required for those changes.
